Sunday School

Classes for Children & Teens

Each Sunday during the school year we offer Sunday School classes for your children beginning at age 2. Our children’s ministry is centered on discipling the next generation, preparing them to be lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. The curriculum we use equips children by firmly rooting them in God’s Word. Each level of the curriculum contributes to the overall objective of a well-rounded, in-depth biblical education.

Jesus Christ:
God, Man, Savior

The gospel is the good news about Jesus Christ. In this class we will take a closer look at what the Bible teaches us about who Jesus is and what he has done and is continuing to do for his people. You will learn more about him, find new reasons to trust him more completely, and be moved to worship him more deeply than ever before. Let us together learn how Jesus brings us into the most intimate relationship imaginable with our Triune God.

This class is recorded, you can listen to it here.

Sermon response

You are welcome at the circle to talk about what God is stirring up in your heart through the presentation of the word this morning. It’s ok to just listen also. Second service attenders come and get a preview.

What is Worship?

Foundations of the Faith

The Lord has called us into corporate worship today that we may see, taste, and experience all the benefits of Christ and the new covenant. Answering both the “why,” and “how,” of worship, we intend to give an overview of the pattern and intention that God has willed for his people as we gather. Part of the “foundations” track here at Christ Church, this time of learning and discussion will orient you to the basic understanding and philosophy of worship that undergirds what we do, as well as what that looks like practically week-to-week.

Prayer

guided by Paul Miller's A Praying Life

How does the prospect of a vibrant prayer life make you feel? Anxious? Apathetic? Doubtful? Excited? Curious? Many people struggle with prayer because they focus on how to pray rather than having a personal relationship with God. Prayer is not the center of this class. Getting to know a person, God, is the center. Prayer is how we can more intentionally participate in the story He is writing in our lives.
