Singing the Psalms

Singing the Psalms

It's been good to consider the psalms together this summer. This fall, on September 7, we'll be reprising many of the psalms we've sung together or heard played. Would you like to sing along to them now? You could on this Spotify playlist "Christ Church Summer Psalms '25" or individually with the YouTube links below. (Psalm 67 in the YouTube link below is a bonus! It's not on the Spotify playlist.)

Reading and singing these psalms seems to me like feasting on a nutritious meal, or getting hoisted up by many hands to safety on top of a ledge or like getting a hug from my wise mom. When I sing these psalms I think, "Why would I ever want to do anything else? Here is truth and it's wonderful!" So, not to put any pressure, but the bar is set pretty high! Let's enjoy these psalms for the rest of the summer, both in the sermons and as we sing them. And let's get ready to sing them with faith on September 7!
