Equipping the church to reach prisoners everywhere, preparing them for re-entry, with the Truth of God's Word and the Love of God's people!

Crossroads Bible Institute (CBI) was started in 1984 by several men wanting to spread the gospel to inmates. It has grown to over 34,000 students world wide in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Africa and Australia. Approximately 1200 instructors volunteer in the United States.

There is a special need for Spanish and French speaking instructors.

Training

As an instructor, you are trained follow guidelines and Do's and Don'ts based on policies and experiences with prison facilities and from years of successful communications with the students.

Instructing

Instructors receive completed lessons from students, correct them and send them back to the students with a note of encouragement.

Instructors mentor and disciple each student through the Gospel lessons.

Instructors correct the lesson from their homes using supplied answer sheets and call in the scores to the office. The rest of the volunteering is done at CBI.

Volunteer work at the office consists of addressing envelopes and stuffing envelopes, some computer work and other general office duties. All supplies are furnished (envelopes, stationary, instructor manuals). The only thing you are asked to supply is the stamps.
