Congregational Care at Christ Church

Congregational Care helps equip Christ Church to be used by God as His instrument in calling people to Himself. To help each person God brings to Christ Church discover whether or not God is adding them as fellow members of Christ Church, and if so, to assist the elders in the integration of these new members into healthy, meaningful, and fruitful membership and ministry, growing in maturity and service together in this church.

Throughout its history, Christ Church has purposed to emulate the early church by fostering a sense of community in which each member is expected to participate in the life of the church as the family of God by serving Christ and one another. From the beginning Care-Groups were formed-each one including an elder-to help facilitate this purpose.

Through Bible study, prayer, discipleship, sharing concerns, addressing a meeting needs, developing meaningful personal relationships and providing for accountability among the members of the group; the Care-Group found its effectiveness.
